Instructions:
1. Cut 2 pieces from the Amethyst cardstock – one 6” x 12”, one 6” x 6”. Score 6” x 12” piece at 6” (12” side on top) Next, score one 6” side at 3” (12” side on top). Fold and burnish – put aside.
2. Distress the edges of the 6” x 6” piece using the distressing tool. This will expose the inner white core and create a white border around the piece.
3. Cut the branding strip from the Joy paper and then cut a 5 ¾” x 5 ¾” square from the bottom left-hand corner of paper.
4. Select elements from the Creative Cuts pack. I trimmed around the sentiment to make the white border narrower.
5. Using Amethyst cardstock, cut 3 of the same flower dies.
6. Using double-sided tape or liquid glue, adhere the patterned paper to the 6” x 6” piece of cardstock.
7. Use foam tape to raise the sentiment. Arrange the floral die cuts and the flamingo element on to the patterned paper. Once you are happy with the placement, adhere pieces with liquid glue. Leave the top portions of the floral die cuts unglued.
8. Adhere the decorated 6” x 6” piece to 1st 6” x 3” section of card base. Make sure the bottom and sides line up.
9. Cut a panel from the scrap piece of the Joy paper 5 ¾” x 3” and adhere this piece to the front of the base panel. Leave a small border around the sides.
10. Use foam tape to raise the floral element and add to the panel. This will keep the card front from sliding.
11. To finish card, cut a gingham piece 5 ¾” x 2 ¾” and adhere to back of the card to write your personal message.
12. Ngaire also made a white envelope from cardstock and decorated it with a paper strip and a floral rub on.
