Card Size:10.5cm x 14.8cm (UC Rectangle card)
Instructions:
- Cut a length of washi tape to measure 35-40cm long. Lay it adhesive side up on your cutting mat. Carefully adhere a second strip of washi tape over it to form a double-sided strip. Repeat this process to more washi, depending on how many roses you wish to make. – See image 1
- Insert a hot glue stick into the hot glue gun and plug it in. Allow it to heat up. It is a good idea to have it over a heat mat or a piece of baking paper, to catch any of the hot glue which may drip. (*Be sure to use a hot glue gun away from pets and small children.)
- Using a small paint brush (or something with a small diameter), hold it vertically and wrap the end of the washi tape around it twice, firmly. – See image 2
- Carefully place a small dob of hot glue mid-way down the washi tape, under the roll and slide out the paint brush once dry.
- Begin twisting the washi tape away from you and adhering it around the first tube shape you glued. With each twist add a small dob of hot glue to hold it in place and make sure to wait a few seconds for it to dry properly. Try to keep the glue hidden apply it away from the surface of the rose. TIPS: Your rose won’t start to take shape until you have almost finished wrapping all the washi tape. Once all the washi tape has been wrapped, glue the end in underneath and trim away the excess. You will also have a small peak that you were holding at the back. Cut this away for a flat surface. – See image 3
- Cut a piece of ‘THE DRAWING ROOM’ paper, a little smaller than the surface of the card base & distress the edges. Adhere in place. Cut an ARCHED WINDOW die from SHADOW cardstock & adhere in place. Add some Creative Cuts & lace flowers. Finish by hot gluing the roses in place. Add a Chantilly Pearl to the centres. – See image 4
