Instructions

  1. Cut base card down to 5 ½” high.
  2. Cut white cardstock to 4 ¼” x 5 ½”
  3. On white cardstock, create background by blending Distress Oxides with blending tool, from darkest colour to lightest colour. Build up the colour as you go. Start by blending Abandoned Coral 1/3 of the way from the top. Repeat step with Worn Lipstick in the centre, and Spun Sugar at the bottom (image 1)
  4. Repeat as necessary to ensure the colours are blended well together, and there are no harsh lines
  5. With water spray bottle, spritz water over background. Try and have some larger drops of water, and some small. Allow to sit on background for about 20 seconds. Take a dry paper towel and press onto background to remove excess water. (image 2)
  6. Adhere background piece to base card
  7. Die cut Oriental Screen die from black cardstock. Use foam mounting tape to adhere on top of background piece
  8. Colour stamped image with colouring medium of choice (image 3) and foam mount on bottom left side of card
  9. Use powder tool to remove static from a piece of black cardstock. Stamp sentiment with Versamark embossing ink and heat emboss with gold embossing powder (image 4)
  10. To complete card, glue flat gold sequins onto card front as per image.
